Love for Literacy is an annual event created by local author Dana Satterwhite and illustrator Joseph Watson. These two teamed up several years ago to develop the Go, Go, Greta children's book series. They continue to move forward, participating in Nevada Reading Week and inspiring kids to love stories and tap their imaginations. This event focuses on the value of literacy for children of all ages——from preschool to elementary school——by encouraging reading, educational games, and community involvement. This year we hope to include a workshop for select students to create their own books and explore the processes of writing and illustrating.
